We started Mountain Bike Hippo not just to sell gear, but to support riders who actually ride — whether you’re tearing up trails, commuting in all weathers, or just getting started.
As a long-serving member of the UK mountain biking community, I’ve been through it all: snapped chains, broken derailleurs, busted pedals mid-ride. Every failure led to a question: “Why isn’t there a store that actually understands what I need?”

That’s where MTB Hippo came from — not a marketing team, but from the trails themselves. Every product we sell is something we’d use ourselves. No fluff, no gimmicks, just gear that works.
